Bad parts of the Grove?
I've finally had enough of South Beach (only took 8 weeks) and am moving to the Grove. I realize that parts of Coconut Grove are dangerous, but which parts (besides the area between US-1 and SW 32nd Ave.)? I'm looking at a place at SW 27th Ave. and Bird Road...anyone familiar enough with the area to help me out? I don't want to move into a place I'll regret!

Look off Virginia, East off US 1 and South of Bird, East of Douglas and generally you should be ok. It's so hit and miss down there, I have friends who live there and love it, their neighborhood is nice. They have a great dog park down there too (if you have one). It's cleaner than the beach and not as crazy. Walking distance to bars/clubs/restaurants.
