Hi, I Would Appreciate Some Feedback About Miami. I Am Planning To Go Back To School In Miami. At First, I Was Trying To Find Another Program In Another State. But Unfortunately This Program In Miami Accepted Me. I Currently Live In Massachusetts And I've Heard Some Bad Comments About Miami. I Don't Mind Moving In The Outer Towns, I Just Don't Want To Move One Hour Away. If I Can Get Some Feedback Of Areas In The Miami Area That Had The Lowest Crime Rates To Live. I Would Appreciate It. Thank You.

You don't state which school or university in Miami: the answer to your question is heavily neighborhood-dependent.

If you're talking about the University of Miami, it is located in one of the best neighborhoods in Dade County - Coral Gables, actually an independent city - and rents in and around Coral Gables are relatively reasonable, especially if compared to, say, Boston, and especially if you are willing to live with flat mates.

Good luck.

P.S. Please don't write with all first letters of a word capitalized, it "sounds" like your half-shouting or something and in any case can be annoying to the reader.

Don't know much about the school, other then it's around the Doral area, near the Dolphin X-Way, west of the airport. The area is mostly Hispanic, not a huge crime problem, the Doral area is considered fairly upscale.

That's right. The university is located in a very fortunate geographical position, well west of the hubbub of Miami proper, nestled between the Doral Country Club to the north and the Dolphin expressway to the south, the airport to the east and Florida's Turnpike to the west.

Depending on your finances, you could either rent an apartment in the neighborhood on your own or with flat mates. If you prefer a more "suburban" environment to live in, some Broward communities like Miramar and Pembroke Pines are not far away.

To start, go to craigslist for Miami and put Doral in the search box under the rental section. Also I believe that Florida International University, which is a bit further south, has an apartment search page on its website.

I assume you are fluent in Spanish.

Good luck.

The Doral area is a pretty decent area for you to live. It would all depend on your finances as well because the rental prices in that area can be on the high end. Also, you need to consider that the further away you go from that area, the more traffic you will have to deal with. The traffic on that side of town is very hectic. Best of luck to you.

I attend Carlos ALbizu University. Its is ok...for a University. I just left another University because it was a lot more money. Carlos Albizu is 305.00 per credit hour. Lots of Hispanic and it is pretty big, good area, clean school. Some classes you can do on line. Over all its pretty cool.
