I love Coral Gables and would live there in a heartbeat if I could afford it.

You do not need to know Spanish to live in Gables (or Miami for that matter) - most latinos who work in professional jobs speak English. In fact, my wife speaks fluent Spanish and rarely uses it when with her latino colleagues.

I would not live in anything in Coral Gables under $800K. There are bad areas in CG, and I would rather live in a nice part of Coral Springs or Cooper City than in a bad part of CG.

As you can tell, there are people who really hate living here. You should really give them a serious listen, because this place is not for everyone. We moved here from Chicago and love it. But we also know of fellow Chicagoans who hated it and moved back. You really need to come and see for yourself.

don't listen to all the negatives, miami is an awesome place to be. there are rude people everywhere you go. rudeness its not exclusive to miami. NYC has a bad reputation as being rude, been there lots of times and i love it. some people have a bad experience and automatically write miami off, don't let that be you
