Since I myself am the prodigy of private schooling and grew up and lived in Miami for 30 years.....here is my list...
Elementary school (K-8) South Miami, FL
Epiphany Catholic school (pretty expensive tuition, but excellent education....the best private elementary school.
High Schools
Gulliver academy Miami, FL (Super expensive tuition, but excellent education. Many celebrities have sent their kids here including OJ simpson, Julio Iglesias and many more
Belen Jesuit Miami, FL (long standing reputation as one of the best)
Christoper Columbus boys catholic high school (All boys and marist brother run, high tuition and great education)
Lourdes Catholic all girls high school (probably the best all girls high school...right next door to Epiphany)
There are others, but the rest just don't compare to the above. Good luck in your decision.

Commute from Broward and send your kids to Pinecrest (if you can get them in). Sends largest percentage of their graduates to ivy league and top 20 national and liberal arts colleges of all schools in South Florida.

St. Stephen's Episcopal
I am a little surprised not to see St. Stephen's Episcopal in Coconut Grove mentioned. Excellent Pre-K through 6th grade school with a long Miami history. St. Stephen’s Episcopal Day School

i used to teach at Westminster. it is a great school and is K-12. most of the kids get accepted to ivy league colleges. the pinecrest neighborhood is one of the best in miami - very suburban and "american", if you know what i mean.
