Default going to Miami in 2 days, what to do there?

Hiya, my brother is currently studying in Miami Uni at CG. I am visiting him in 2 days. He won't skip class, so I might found myself with nothing to do. I will rent a car and I wonder where could I spend my free time. I don't want to go to the beach

PS: I will go out at night with him, I wanna know things to do during the day

spyderman33 is on a distinguished road
Walk around on Miracle Mile in the Gables.
Fairchild Tropical Gardens is fun.
Coconut Grove is nice.
Go see the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables.
Check out the Venetian Pool in Coral Gables.
Vizcaya is interesting to see.
Have lunch in Little Havanna area (Versailles recommended)
Go to Key Biscayne and drive around
Go to South Beach and check out the sights during the day...
Have a coffee or lunch at News Cafe on Ocean Drive
Coral Castle in Homestead is interesting..
If you want mega-shopping go to Sawgrass Mills Shopping Center.

You can go to Tamiami Airport and charter a plane for a 1 hour flight around Miami for about $100 or so.. That's way cool...

Lots to do.. Just depends on what you like...

ok, guys, I forgot to mention I was in Ft Lauderdale 7 years ago and also went to Cape Canaveral and the theme parks in Orlando.

I wonder if there are fortresses or other remainings of the Spanish period. any hint?

Indeed! But make sure you go to "Buffalo Tigers Airboat tours", it's all the way down on SW 8th on the right hand side. I always go there when I have visitors. Ernesto (the guy who does the tours) is a really nice guy

Good question. I don't know about Spanish remains but for sure you have several streets and avenues with those old dudes names. There is a statue of Mr. Ponce de Leon in Bayside.
