Brickell Neighborhood
Hi Miami,
I posted previously and received some great feedback... I can't thank you all enough. I hope that I may reach out again and ask if anyone knows anything about the Brickell neighborhood. More specifically the area with single family homes ("roads" area etc); the high rises aren't my thing. Is the area safe, and accessible to entertainment venues? How about diversity? I'm a 40 something year old white guy that doesn't speak spanish.
Thanks in advance to all.

Brickell itself is great, but as you pointed out, you won't find anything except high rise condos in this part. Brickell Roads with the single family homes--ehhhh...I probably wouldn't live there. There are a lot of dumpy houses there and it's right off the Interstate. It wouldn't necessarily be a "bad" place...just mediocre. It would be quick and easy to get to downtown, but you could probably find a lot of better areas.

The single-family homes west of Brickell Avenue south of Broadway are all very, very nice houses, but the area west of Metrorail in Brickell is mediocre. It's not bad, (not at all) but it's not like the rest of Brickell which is upscale high-class. Anyways, the majority of Brickell is all high-rise, so your options will be limited on single-family homes.

I believe this person means Key Biscayne which is located across the Rickenbacker Causeway going over Biscayne Bay about 3-4 miles from the Brickell area.

Thank you Kevin. My limited is about 550K and it sounds as though the area of which you speak in Brickell may be beyond my reach.
Again I appreciate the info.

No, it's not out of your reach. If you want to live in a high-rise, 550K is more than good, you can get nice condos or apartments for 550K in Brickell or a bit more north in Downtown around Biscayne Blvd or even Loft or Loft II towers, which sell for very cheap, are new, and are very nice-looking. However, if you're looking for single-family homes, 550K might be a lot harder to find, especially in Brickell, I'd suggest you look further south around US-1 around a Metrorail station to avoid driving.
