Default Only in Miami Dade

My wife just sent her papers to NC to be a teacher. She sent 2 checks one for 55 and one for 85. Yesterday we got a package back from nc. The letter stated you sent us two check, only the check for 85 was taken the other check was not necessary we are mailing it back to you. HOLY SMOKES, if this was dade county they would of pocket the check for 55 bucks.

For sure...either that, or no one would have bothered to let you know the check wasn't necessary in the first place.

Should I move there? I'm really starting to wonder just how delusional I really am. All of the good, moral people are supposed to be leaving, right? I like to think that I'm good and moral, although maybe I'm wrong. I figure I must really be missing out... My lease is up soon...

Actually, those of us who were born and raised here are the ones who know exactly how bad it is because we've watched it BECOME bad over the decades. Miami used to be different. Before 1980 and after the 1980 boatlift are night and day differences. Even for a few years after 1980 no one would admit they were Cuban or even Hispanic. I know one guy in my jr high school who faked a British accent for two years so no one would know he was Hispanic. (It was a really good fake accent too). I only found out when I visted his house once.
Compare that to today were you see little flags in peoples' cars of every country in central and South America. Before people wanted to be thought of as American but now, thanks to the poisionous policy of multiculturalism, people are proud they come from a third world culture and want to keep that culture alive here because self-serving politicans who wnat their votes tell them that their culture is superior to American culture.
Those of us who were born here, at least those of us who haven't left yet, are the ones who weep for Miami the most.

Miami has SO much potential. I'd love to see it come back to what it once was. Does anyone think Miami will get a second chance or will it continue to downward spiral even more?
