South florida is always has humid hot summers and afternoon dark storms but usually pass and leave the sun shining ( and the steam)... UNLESS there is a system over Florida which in that case it will stay and be cloudy for whatever the length of the system is . This is not usual but CLIMATE change is REAL !

Even in NYC , we have had long bouts of a system simply lingering over there area for an extended period of time and giving us clouds for literally 6 days a time.

This is happening more and more ( see California mud slides) where systems that would dump clouds & rain over an area for a day is staying for longer than that. It's the new reality and it will be like that more often until florida is underwater

systems these days linger over the area longer than usual due to climate change.

in nyc we have long bouts of cloudiness in rain for literally 5 days ... no sun at all.

I don't go to miami in the summer... way too muggy, and it rains everyday ... even though it passes.

I do think we've been particularly rainy this June. But South Florida summers are a lot more mild than most people expect - because it tends to rain every day.

yeah, with the exception of very early in the month for 2 days temperatures this month have been in the mid- high 80's...been very pleased. As stated earlier, I had June pegged as 1 of 4 months (June - Sept) that I might find challenging to get through from a heat perspective--given the extended forecast for the rest of the month, that will not be the case and now I'm down to 3 months....I would gladly trade 1 month of hot, consecutive sunshine for "cooler" (or, lower temperatures), overcast conditions--as we have had this month....and I've been more focused and super productive at work as a result....did catch some afternoon rays yesterday.

Yes I think the multiple days of no sun is gone. Yesterday was nice, today was sunny and very windy and Sunday was nice for most of the day as well. Got to spend some pool time yesterday after work and hope to make it to the beach after 5 today if the currents aren't too difficult.

At least by the beach and bay we get a constant breeze so it hasn't been miserable. The summers in Orlando were just that, miserable.

By mid-November I'm praying for cool weather. The last 2 years I've been here, October and November seem still very hot and humid to me.
