They're building their 3rd and 4th twenty story building. It feels pretty urban already. And the interiors at 5252 and 5300 Paseo (the two existing 21 story buildings) are chic, modern, and classy. Can easily beat most of what Brickell offers. And because these are designed for walkability, they're surrounded by 1 story commercial spaces that offer bars, restaurants, botiques, etc. A new Publix is under construction, and I bet they'll be running by the end of the year.

If you stack those 3 or 4 buildings on top of each other you would have one building considered tall by Brickell standards. For now, maybe Downtown Doral should be measuring itself against Dadeland before jumping to Brickell.

The buildings are nicer than Dadeland, but yeah it's in the same category. There should be 11 high rises eventually.

Honestly the area of Doral you are talking about is nice, but by no means is anything near Brickell. Not even close to be honest. It's cool that they built the inclave with the cinebistro, icebox etc... But honestly that's it.

There is no comparing Doral's downtown and Brickell. it's just not even close to the same thing. Doral to me still doesn't feel like a very urban setting.

You're actually talking about CityPlace, which isn't far from Downtown Doral, but is actually another development. It's also nice, but I predict that one will have more growing pains.

Downtown Doral is near what would be 5300 NW 85th Ave.

Depends on what your looking for. Doral = suburban lifestyle. Brickell / Downtown = city life. I would pick Brickell / Downtown over Doral any day, however if you're looking to make your money go further, Doral would be your choice.
