Hello,

I am traveling to Miami next week with my husband and 2 kids, 2 and 7. Any ideas on what we can do while we visit. We are staying in Ft.Lauderdale for 4 nights and then driving down to the Keys for 3 more nights. Is there any must do's in the area? Thanks , Liz

You have the Everglades and you can take a fan-boat ride, Parrot Jungle Island, The Miami Children's Museum, Bayside has decent/touristy shopping on the water, The Miami Science Museum, Miami Seaquarium is very interactive, Bill Baggs State Park is catered for families and has a lighthouse, Venetian Pool is made of coral rock and very historic...

Key west is very beautiful but I'm afraid I don't know much about kids/family spots down there. Good luck..hope this helped

When I went to Key West as a kid I was bored out of my mind! I'm 20 and this was around 10 years ago... my family still talks about how much the Keys sucked.

Ditto that. I had the same experience with Key West 30 years ago (although we loved the Upper Keys).

Maybe some of these attractions might interest your kids:
