These are tickets for the inauguration ride, right?

Imagine going from Miami to Orlando in less than 2 hours. I can't wait to use it! I've never been in a train this fast.

Guys, can't wait either but Miami to Orlando, if and when it happens will never be under 2 hrs...These trains are not The Bullets that are found all over European Countries and Japan.

The estimated time between the 2 mentioned cities will be at 3:30 hrs (It may even be 4hrs). Even at that it's great., you'd be doing 90 MPH from Downtown Miami, up the Turnpike and then Orlando Int'l Airport to get there in less than the 3 and 1/2 hrs Brightline will do.

Obviously you'll get to your destination minus a speeding ticket, rested and ALIVE.

I'd take 3.5 hrs anytime getting there rested and ready to roll

Default Feds approve Brightline express train extension between South Florida and Orlando

https://tinyurl.com/ybj3457z

It will take Brightline trains about 30 minutes to travel from West Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale and another 30 minutes to Miami. Eventually, the trip from Miami to Orlando will take three hours, compared with four hours by car or bus, officials estimate.

What's next? AFAIK there are no plans for anything next like that.

They have openly stated their intention to expand to Jacksonville and Tampa eventually. I know they even registered an LLC for said purpose for Jax, and probably did the same for Tampa.

Of course, whether it actually happens or not is anyone's guess and will primarily be dependent on how successful the Orlando phase is.

It is unclear which phase (Jax or Tampa) is more likely to be pursued next. Obviously Tampa offers a much larger population and is much closer, however the construction costs would be much higher. Fortress already owns the track/ROW all the way up to Jax and in fact most of the track is operational too. It would just be a matter of building stations and getting the track up to Brightline standard.

To be HONEST with you...Tampanians WANT NO PART of Mass Transit Changes, such as Brightline...Their Downtown Skyline has decreased to 20% of what Downtown Orlando is today, and they REALLY do not care.

So why should we ?????

Let them stay 40 yrs behind, it's their choice.
