Miamians, please stop moving to NC, unless you are ready to leave that Miami attitude behind, and are ready to slow down and be friendly, drive better, and learn english. The last thing people of NC want is for it to turn into a place many fled, in this case, Miami. I may move back someday, and I dont want NC to turn into S FL!!! S FL used to be awesome (excluding Miami), and now only some parts of S FL are still nice. Just my opinion.

And to add my 2 cents... Charlotte is so much better than Miami, it aint even funny. Miami is crappy, really crappy. I know there are still some good people in Miami, but I'm talking about the "typical Miamian", LOL

It's just silly to me that people post on here like 2 weeks before they move and write a dissertation on how they are moving to NC and how they wish us luck because Miami blows. Then they get there and write a post stating how much they love it there because they have been there all of 10 minutes and there's a rainbow in the sky and birds chirping everywhere. If you hated Miami so much why are you back on the forum again? Wasn't that the point of the whole dissertation and moving? It's just comical....

Actually I had been planning on moving out of Miami for six months and just recently discovered the CD forum. I've been posting on the CLT forum for a couple of months now asking questions and doing research on top of visiting the city several times.
Btw, I can be on whatever forum I chose including this one being so I lived in Miami for 32 years and can give tons of insight for people looking for valid information.
And yes, the birds are chirping outside my window right now..What are you hearing?? Salsa or raggetone??

What's wrong with salsa? Reggaeton I can definitely do without. Not that I hear either. There a little bit of road noise mixed in with the sound of the wind moving through the trees.

that's hilarious. Especially about the posts about how horrid Miami is, crime and what not. Visit any other major city's paper and see what they are saying. Same stuff. L.A. has the gangs and everyone is on the hate the mexican bandwagon. Murder, slayings, home invasions. But I actually enjoyed L.A. for what it offered.

I like Reggaeton. What I heard in Dominican clubs anyway. Maybe it's different where you are.

Over on this forum supposedly the Mexicans are "at least hard working and friendly". I bet over there they try to justify their xenophobia by saying "oh, at least the Cubans in Miami are hard working and accomplished". Bottom line is that it depends on the individual...
