I am used to tax free clothing and groceries. I understand Florida taxes clothing purchases, what is the rate? Also, do they tax GROCERIES? If so, at what rate? FTR, put me down for thinking tax on groceries should be criminal!
![]() OK, REALLY shallow question: Who is the primary Cable TV provider? Can I easily get BBC America? What are people paying for cable/wi-fi packages? Thanks! You know we have most of the details worked out when we start asking about cable! ![]() |

Bienvenidos a Miami! Florida has a general sales tax of 6%, but I believe groceries and a few other things are exempt. Maybe someone else can elaborate a little more...
The main cable provider can depend on which part of Miami you are living in...I used to live on South Beach and had Atlantic Broadband cable and Internet. Then I moved to mainland Miami (Coconut Grove area) and was told Atlantic Broadband didn't service this area...so I switched to Comcast. Both are about the same price though...I have basic cable and Internet and pay about $100/month. I haven't noticed BBC America being in my basic cable package, but you could probably get it if you bought one of the more expensive cable packages. Good luck and welcome! |
