Nice Areas of Miami
Where are the nice areas of Miami? Where can a nice middle class family of four afford to live that is no more than 30 minutes from downtown Miami. Also consider a household income of 100,000, and a house price cap of 600,000 +/-, and a good public school in the vicintity. Trust me, I don't expect this to be a walk in the park.

OP: Coral Gables. I wish you good luck on that house cap range. That's a tall order you got there.

Check out greatschools.net - they give you all of the info there, such as school rating, demographics, addresses, etc.

Pinecrest, East Kendall, South Miami, Coral Gables, Doral - all have good schools and are within 30 minutes of downtown Miami. East Kendall would take longer than 30 minutes during rush hour, but not more than about 45 minutes or so. Even Miami Springs is a nice town with decent schools. You can get a home in any of the above places for under $600,000, even in Coral Gables.

Plenty of opportunities in Miami Springs right now. I'm even seeing houses under $300k! Prices are really falling. 20 minutes from downtown.
