Default Partisan Politics of Miami

Does anyone know where the political boudaries lay in Miami? What parts of the county are Republican or Democratic strongholds? Do they run concurrent with congressional districts? I heard there is a recent shift in political livelihood in Miami that is so far reaching that Republican congresswoman Ileana-Ros and Diaz-Balart might loose the next election to new Democrat challengers from growing central and south Amercan constituencies.

Republicans in Miami-Dade are always on the endangered species list. Ileana Ros and Diaz-Balart are only elected because they are CUBAN Republicans and all the Cuban Dems that cross over and vote for them do so because they know that they will put Cuba first before any other political issues. It's not partisan politics that rule down here but racial (or 'cultural' for those who will jump in and point out that Cuban is not a race).

Interesting bent. Cultural division at its best, I remember the elections in 2006 with the "proposition", and how it pitted blacks against the Cuban hierarchy of Miami-Dade. I always feel that people who always correct others on their use of the race vs culture vs ethnicity thing are wasting their time and in a sense starting more fires. I feel like they KNOW what I meant when I said race, they are just blasting steam to make me feel like an idiot for not saying "ethnicity".... Nothing gets accomplished.
