One of the only neighborhoods around in which you would rarely hear English is the Flagler Street corridor west of downtown Miami out to about SW 57 Ave. Believe it or not, you will hear English in Little Havana, Westchester, Coral Terrace areas, especially from the young people. You will hear more Spanish than English in many neighborhoods, but even in neighborhoods that are 95% "Hispanic," you will hear some English.

I don't know if there's any place that you won't hear English. As crisp444 said, even very Hispanic areas, you'll hear plenty of English. Just because an area is very Hispanic doesn't mean, the Hispanics there don't speak English. Most of them are just bilingual.

If you plan to work in a bodega, etc., it would be helpful to know some Spanish. Otherwise, it doesn't much matter. As was said, most native Spanish speakers here are at least functionally bilingual.

As other posters have noted, many Spanish speakers are functionally literate in English. However, they prefer to speak Spanish. It is unlikely that a non-Spanish speaker would be hired to work in heavily Spanish-speaking neighborhoods.

hey at least its spelled correctly lol im just too lazy to capitalize. I was just messing around I'm sure u could point out a million more grammar errors i've made on here in just the last 5 days alone. Sometimes Im so lazy i ignore the spellcheck if the word looks close enough, I swear sometimes i think reliance on technology is going to be humanities downfall.
