Thanxs alot ....and yeah that was a toss up for Carol City and Opa- Locka....they are both bad but I just put Carol City above Opa-Locka because there are more bad areas altogether in Carol City since the population is bigger.....i remember visiting some friends that lived in Carol City when i wanted to get some weed.....it was always a dangerous feeling there to me.....I lived there when i was really young but i was too young to remember lots of things about it then i moved near American High in Gleneagles apartments and after a couple years there I ended up out by P.S.N

Opa-Locka is the most dangerous area in the USA even compared to Baltimore,St. Louis, Atlanta, and Camden, NJ. They have links about it on wikipedia. My ex-girlfriend lives in Carol City near Carol City Gardens, it's not as bad as Opa-Locka, especially the triangle... Ever been to Back Blues or the NW corner of the triangle?

What a sad day in Miami-Dade today, 4 officiers shot, one in surgery right now at Jackson and one has passed away.

Again, you're making things up. I never said Miami-Dade is not dangerous. It is the second or third most dangerous county in the state. However, many of the people on here act like crime only exists in Miami-Dade when you can find areas with much higher crime rates in the same state.
I don't purposely stroll through Liberty City at 3 a.m. looking for trouble. I have been in Miami-Dade numerous times this year and the past year visiting friends, family, and just generally having fun and have not run into any trouble.
Also, remember the officer recently shot in Broward County? Yep, things like this aren't just a Miami-exclusive problem. And guess where the guy who shot the officer was from? Loxahatchee, a city in Palm Beach County.
The truth is, there are lots of reason to dislike Miami-Dade, but don't just act like crime only happens there.

Scanning over this thread, the results seem pretty conclusive:
Top 5 Areas (in no order):
-Aventura/Sunny Isles Beach/Golden Beach
-Miami Beach/South Beach
-Coral Gables
-Pinecrest/Palmetto Bay
-Key Biscayne
Bottom 5 Areas (in no order):
-Opa-Locka
-Overtown
-Liberty City
-Carol City
-Little Haiti
I think this falls in line with my opinions on these areas.

Miami-Dade is the most dangerous county in Florida and the #11 most dangerous county in the United States. Opa-Locka itself statistically has a higher crime rate than Palm Beach and/ or any other area in Florida and is statistically higher than most areas in the US period.

PBC Boy never stated that Miami -Dade is not dangerous , a class in reading comprehension may do you some good . He was making a point that although it is a dangerous area , it is not the most dangerous in the state and if you take precautions like in any other large urban area , you will be fine .
I travel to Atlanta , Tampa , Houston and Dallas frequently on business ... I really like all four cities and maybe with the exception of Tampa because it is a smaller area , all are just as "dangerous" as Miami and you have to take precautions in any of them . Go and hang out in Downtown Atlanta or just South of that area at night or spend a little time in South West Houston or the wards and you will experience some nasty crime .

I would like to know where everyone gets these statistics ...... is it not just a case of using your head and being careful where ever you go ?
I am a native Floridian , born in Tampa , currently live in Boca Raton and "party" in Miami Beach and Ft.Lauderdale and I have never been the victim of a violent crime in Florida . It can happen anywhere again you just have to be cautious . Hang out in a bad part of any town and you increase your chances of being a victim .

Well thought out list and I would agree with your choices , although I would add Hialeah to the bottom simply because it feels so third world and I would add Miami Shores to the top areas because it is an oasis and you feel like you are in the U.S.
