What a crowded bunch of high-rise junk. If that is progress I say, let's go back in time. At least they are building a nice wall of buildings for the coming hurricane winds!

Miami's currently trajectory could consequently earn it a spot as one of North Ameria's greatest skylines.
It is already #3 or #4 by anybody's standards after Chicago, NYC, and San Francisco. By late 2007 it was already the 3rd best Skyline in the country if you ask me. San Francisco's skyline has been quiet since the 60's, when taxes started to rise and druggies moved in. Now, it's too expensive to breathe in San Francisco.

I think Miami has a fantastic skyline. Driving into Miami across the Rickenbacker or MacArthur causeways gives you one of America's great urban skyline views. Miami is seriously overbuilt and probably will be for years to come, but the increase in urbanism downtown and along the bayfront will be a good thing for the city in the long run.

Miami Skyline: Ugly by daylight, fabulous at night.

I love Miami, but the skyline will never match the beauty and magnitude of Chicago or NYC.

Miami's skyline is big but boring. Most buildings are ugly, long tall brick towers with no architectural appeal.

Hey i live right behind that nice wall of buildings- the weather is great right behind them- they block the rain and the wind. Im all for it. Build another 500 towers.

I agree! Makes my heart skip. I also get nice views back toward the downtown from the Jackson Hospital garage. On days when I have to drive in, I take a few moments to enjoy that view. Really nice.

Of course not those are two best Skylines in the US Miami coming in Number 3. But also dont forget Chicago and New York have been around for 100+ more years than Miami.

Miami really is an amazing city in how much it has grew in such a short period of time. Just look at pictures from 1905-1928 same type of thing happend in Miami.

Miami is a bit over built but there is still demand for more commercial space now. It is one of the best skylines our there. It is very modern because it is a modern new young city. 3rd largest skyline in the Country 18th in the world.
Its so nice because of the Bay, the port, the clear weather Miami gets etc.. The bay and port with the skyline in the backround make it look great. Sometimes when driving home I will add a little time to my drive and take I-395 instead of the Tuttle just to have that view!
