Default Dadeland Theater/Bird Rd Drive in/Bird Road Gala Twin Help!!

Im a film student and i was doing a project about past [and better!] movie theaters down here in miami and i need help from you guys.I already know the locations [but not exact] of these places but I needed some help. Here are my questions..

for the bird road gala and dadeland theater, what is standing there now?
the bird road cinema was on 85 and 40th,but i cant exactly pinpoint where, was it that shopping center that used to have a Luria's? now with denny's and office depot? if so what's in its place now?

same goes for the dadeland theater,is it where Comp Usa is now or was it on the other side of the dadeland medical building?

and last question...the tropicaire drive in..

where was the screen at?

was it by the taco bell facing the palmetto or was it where the best buy is now, with the back of the screen facing the palmetto?

thanks for all your help!

First of all, bless you on your film project, that sounds fascinating. Thank you for keeping the history alive.

Regarding your questions, I can tell you that the Dadeland Theater was where the CompUsa is now.

Not sure on the other two as I was slightly behind the times on those because of my age. I remember the outside of the Tropicaire being where that Spanish place has been for years now, but not sure where the screen was.

thanks for the help papo..seems we used to have a two or three screen theater in every "chopping center",with the last ones still going is the Le Jeune Cinema 6,and Palace 18 is still in its same location, which used to be the Garden 8,and then the Galaxy 7 [how i remember those signs!]...it sucks tho that all these theaters and the drive ins are gone,im 22 so i missed almost everything..I also do remember tho the Concord Cinema on bird, but alas I gotta settle for Dolphin Mall..I went to the thunderbird last weekend up in Sunrise and we had a blast..smokin weed during the movie..good times..

ive actually found some online pictures of the Wometco in Westchester, where the Kmart used to be and dam..what a difference!

It was where the computer city (later compusa) was built. I remember it as the Wometco twin theatre and saw movies there as a child.

It was located on Bird RD about where the current shopping center entrance is. It was just west of the restaurant on the corner of the palmetto exit.
