but in my opinion, i think obama will be BETTER than mccain, because he's going to be the one who is willing to help the hispanic community.

but i don't think the white-washed latinos will let that happen.

Though I voted not to extend a single Miami incumbent judge a minute more and I vote against every incumbent in other elections in. Thats one ticket that I did not vote for either.

Martinez has a deplorable record and the Diaz brothers do nothing but speeches. Only time in my life I did not vote for a candidate was Martinez vs Diaz as S.Florida loses with both no lesser of evils there.

Dem party blew it by giving Martinez as a candidate as many sick of the do nothing Diaz brothers but Martinez is deplorable.
I dont want useless Rep nor Dem though this is what Miami is used to.
Yeah Im not too happy with either candidate but I cant just not vote for either, I plan to vote for Martinez just on where he stands on the issues.

It is amazing that this race is even close considering the fact that nearly all the drive media is in the tank and cheerleading for Barry Obama. The one's that aren't simply get thrown off his plane...
Incredible you believe that sham. lol

Obama won South Florida according to one of those polls. It was 70%-28%. But Northern Florida kind of evens it out and makes the race for Florida tighter.

But Obama already has California, New York, Pennsylvania and maybe Ohio so he might not even need Florida.

I need to find that article. I'll look for it this weekend

HI, being in PA with relatives living in FL I'm glad some of you are voting for Obama.

I was an independent, switched to Rep to vote for Ron Paul, the media shut him out, so I went back to Dem, I really liked Ron Paul.

I really think Obama will make a change for the better, I'm tired of the corporations ruining our country and I just cannot trust the Rep party anymore, they knew the mortgage crisis was gonna happen as well as wall st. I seen it coming years ago, when i looked at my mutual fund and any savings I had I thought things would turn around, just got worse, GE stock is 19.00 thats low, and Rite Aid is maybe over 50 cents, you can clearly see something bad went on, its a shame, all because of corporation greed.

I think McCain is right.
What is the point in rasing the Taxes for ANYONE!?

McCain wants to lower ALL of our taxes.
To me its a huge point, I dont wanna waste my money paying huge amount of taxes for nothing.

And please dont tell me the money is going to welfare, because I dont care about the welfare. It's for illegal immigrants to abuse !

Its odd that neither one mentioned illegal immigrants, but I assume Obama will let em live in peace <3

LOWER TAXES = Victory for USA

If you raise taxes (Obama's plan) on large corporations they lay off people. If you lower taxes (McCain's plan) on large corporations, they increase executive bonuses and will still ship jobs overseas thus laying off people. Either way the middle class gets the short straw. Don't act like McCain's tax plan is the key to an economic recovery. Both plans are flawed.

What they need to do is lower taxes (McCains Plan) and cap executive bonuses (Obama's plan) and Provide tax credits (Obamas plan)to companies who hire domestically to force companies to hire new employees. You will recover the lost taxes through sales tax now that people are employed and have more money to spend. (disposable income increases)

Now lets make this relevent to Miami. Miami's public school systems are not very good. Thats an understatement. These conditions cannot continue. I agree with Obama that money needs to be spent on education. But he's going about it the wrong way. (Raising Taxes)

Which brings me back to the DCKid plan. Cap executive bonuses. In this case, cap government employee salaries. The salary difference between the head of the school board and the 7th grade math teacher is SO WRONG. Who wants to put up with bad kids at that low salary. School reform starts with better conditions for educators.

So my conclusion. REGULATE EXCESSIVE SALARIES, BONSES AND BENEFITS for executives and high ranking government officials. That prevents you from having to raise taxes (Tax money can be used for more productive ventures other than paying government officials).

A zebra cannot change its' stripes. For the guy who laughed at people calling Hussein Obama a socialist...why?? Whenever he doesn't have a teleprompter in front of him telling him what to say he opens himself up to his true beliefs. Forget the "Joe The Plumber" rage...Hussein was QUOTED as saying that Joe had to give up some for the people who need more. He has also said that you have to give up a little of your pie so others could have a piece. Now if that is not a socialist leaning candidate, I don't know what is. It is redistribution of wealth. This is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, not France, or Canada, or Spain. When you work hard, produce, and get ahead in life you are living the American Dream. Look at the facts.....the top 50% of earners in this country ALREADY pay most of the taxes and we are going to penalize them MORE because they are successful, work hard, produce for this country and live life the way it was intended by our founding fathers. Hussein's theories are in my eyes UnAmerican!! My vote went for McCain. If Hussein wins, so be it, I will give him the respect the office deserves, but good luck to this country. Why work hard, why try to improve yourself, why open a business?? In Hussein's eyes you should do all of those things to help OTHER PEOPLE!!!!!! I just don't get it.

1. How are you going to open a business without a loan? Credit markets are tight due to the current economic situation. Small businesses are currently going under, and you will see very few start ups due to the extremely tight credit markets.

2. How are you going to start a business with an unemployed customer base? Unemployment is going to reach 8 percent next year. You need customers to stay in business.

3. I said this earlier. McCain's tax plan is to cut corporate taxes to allow corporations to hire new employees . LOL@That. Have you seen the payouts of these failed CEO's. Merrill Lynch's former CEO got millions for running his company into bankruptcy. If you cut corporate taxes. Its more money for executive payouts. The employment situation will not improve.

4. I like that "socialist" word usage that many are using. This is the exact same tax policy under the Clinton administration. Remember? When the economy underwent on a 10 year expansion!

5. How have many business owners and other "successful people" reached the point to achieve the "American Dream"? Because they were taught by good school teachers and obtained an education. The role teachers play in this society is overlooked to the point where its disgusting. Teachers are grossly underpaid. Teachers in Miami can't even afford to live in the city they work in. How are children in Miami-Dade County going to achieve the American Dream in these public school systems.

6. Government Bail out package. Now that's effective used tax dollars. Think about it. Isn't it the opposite of Obama's plan. Your taking money from ordinary middle class tax payers to bail out Billion dollar corporations. What do I see now? These banks are paying out BILLIONS IN BONUSES AGAIN!! Aren't they supposed to be lending this money. So that small business owners can achieve "The American Dream"?

I can go on all day. While I respect critics of Obama's tax policy, I think they fail to realize why he feels the middle to lower middle class needs a boost. (or a tax cut) Is his plan flawed? Yes. But doesn't our current economic plan needs some changes as well?

Well written and I agree with SOME of your points. I was against the bail out in spite of the fact that I had lost a tremendous amount from my 401K. I was willing to lose more and let the big corporations fail. When these executives are brought out in handcuffs for provable wrongdoing then I would sign on to the bail out. Obama, or Hussein as I like to call him, is 100% for a redistribution of wealth. I am far from wealthy but I retired from one job and the next day relocated down here to take a second job so I could afford to send my children through college. I refuse (if i have the choice) to give up 1 extra cent to a government that has proven (Republican or Democrat) time and time again that they wastefully spend money. Obama has already said that he will let the Bush tax cuts expire. The second he does that, my taxes go up about $3600!! I'm tired of the take, take, and more take. Finally, in addition to everything else I have the following points:
1) What do we KNOW about Barack Hussein Obama
A) He was born in Kenya and cannot prove he is even an American citizen.
B) We cannot get any of his college records because he has forbidden it. Why...does the word anti-government, socialist, communist mean anything??
C) He comes from one of the most politically corrupt regions historically (Chicago)
D) He has ties to William Ayers (Anarchist, Bomber, Anti-American), Reverend Wright (Racist, Anti-American, and Anti-Semitic from his own mouth), Rezko (Convicted criminal), and Khalidi (PLO Terrorist ties). These men are all more than just casual acquaintances no matter what Hussein says.
2) More important than anything else is this...When all of our enemies and countries that HATE Christians, Jews, anything not Islamic, are in support of Hussein's election that tells me something. They know the man is inexperienced, weak, and not a leader. He is a good looking guy, may be a good person (we don't know enough about him), who is a good public speaker (great when he has a teleprompter telling him what to say).
3) While in the Senate (For a whole TWO years) he has voted PRESENT on NINETY EIGHT occasions instead of casting a vote on the issues!!!

If he is voted in, I will respect the office of President and therefore support him but I believe he will be very bad for this country. I'm not HUGE fan of McCain's either, but I must vote my conscience and support the lesser of two evils.
