North Beach in Miami Beach. I love it, but am thinking of moving to Sunny Isles, Aventura, Cooper City, Weston, Coral Gables or Boca. All depends on where the wife gets a job. South Florida is the best place I've lived in the US, despite all its warts. Outside of Florida, I would only consider NYC or Southern Cal as viable alternatives.
Interesting in that this thread has stayed so positive for so long...

that whole area there is pretty good. I don't understand why some folks fear the gardens. I used to live in that trailer park years ago before I could afford a house. I never once had anything stolen and you could leave your doors unlocked. once we went on vacation and i forgot to take my keys out of the door lock, I just left them hanging there. we returned two weeks later and there they were with nothing missing.

I live in East Miami Gardens, and I love it. My barber shop, grocery store, dry cleaners a couple of my friend's homes, a park, an bicycle trail are all in walking/bicycling distance. My bus stop is a decent walk away, though, now that MDT officials decided to cut the Route 241, but that's okay. Also, there is a major Tri-Rail station in my city, namely, the Golden Glades Station, so it's really not bad. As soon as I save up for my down payment, I may just purchase a home here.

Actually Greater Miami is actually covers a large geographic area, and is home to more than 400,000 residents. That's pretty big.
What sucks about Little Havana? Be more specific. Thanks.

Hey neighbor! Last year, MG city officials broke ground on a state-of-the-art community center being built near you, right? You Westsiders get all the amenities, eh? Lol. I'm only kidding. You guys have more land, I guess. The Eastside's all built out.
Anyway, have they started building the community center yet?
Peace.

Life in 305
I've been living in South Florida (Cutler Ridge) for the past 4 years now and I absolutely HATE IT! Miami has been the worst experience in my life! Miami is made of latins, and if you don't speak Spanish your treated as a outcast.
The people are rude, and Miami holds the record for worst road rage in the nation. I would NOT recommend Miami to anyone, ever! It might be OK to visit but other than that run for the hills!

I live in West Palm beach and it is Great. The LATINOS HAVE NOT RUINED IT YET. PROBABLY IN 15 YEARS ALL THE ENGLISH SPEAKERS WILL HAVE TO GO.
