It happened ... by the way what is it with you man , you can seem really cool sometimes and other times you sound like a miserable bigot .. I was up in Orlando with my family in January and it was freezing ( love that ) we were up there for four days stayed in the Downtown Marriott , loved downtown Orlando , Lake Eola and the surrounding areas ... cool restaurants on Church Street and cool lofts , people were nice .. as well visited Wyndermere ( I think that is how it is spelled ) it was a beautiful area , especially the older rural area , loved Winter Park !!! Oviedo was nice saw the UCF campus .. did the "Celebration tour ".. I was very pleaseantly surprised by Orlando .. I did not hear much Spanish if any the entire time I was up there ( I know that is a pet peeve for you ) ... what gives with your dislike for Orlando .. my wife and daughters loved all of the non - Disney stuff up there .

You went to some places (Winter Park, Oviedo, Celebration) that are definitely the better, nicer areas throughout Orlando. Lake Eola is nice too, Orlando does have some good areas, and places that a lot of people enjoy.
I wouldnt think you would hear much spanish in Winter Park, Windermere or Oviedo; I dont know enough about Celebration. The UCF campus is nice, but the areas outside of UCF are a little sketchy. There have been a few incidents, some very serious.
Orlando is a different place when you live here, is all I can really say. It's like Miami. Fun as hell place to visit, but for many, not the best place to live. It used to be "old Florida" and now it resembles a totally different place, and that's what I dislike about it. 10 yrs ago, I liked it. Pretty much how I feel about most of S FL, I just think 10-20 yrs ago, for my taste, likes/dislikes, etc... it was better before then it is now. Too aggressive, too many people, too much crime, too many transients, etc... Winter Park and Oviedo are not as much like this though. I like Oviedo, I used to live there actually. Winter Park is my favorite part of the Orlando area, for sure. If Winter Park were in Northern FL, I'd certainly consider moving there for sure my man!
PS- NBA Playoffs start tomorrow. Let's go HEAT!

Ok , good intelligent post .... although we have enjoyed our time in South Florida ( Parkland and Weston ) nice areas which is probably why I cannot relate to much of the South Florida bashing on here ... we eventually will move to Ponte Vedra just south of Jacksonville ... we love Northern Florida as well . I really did not equate Orlando to Miami at all .. we stayed out of the ghetto areas while in Orlando , just as we would in any other city and really enjoyed it .. too bad it is not what you remember . Yes Winter Park was beautiful as was Windermere ... maybe I would have to live in Orlando as you say and not just visit ???
Go Heat or Magic ... either one works for me

PV is very nice. Nocatee especially. I'd stay away from some of the subdivisions off of I-95 in SJC like World Golf Village and there's a couple others... cant think of their names though right now. Places like WGV (World Golf Village) are having the same problems that newer subdivisions are having throughout much of S FL and Orlando, Tampa - foreclosures, neglect, and too many newbies to the areas which leaves the area with little sense of community. I find that most of N FL however doesnt resemble this, with some exceptions like Palm Coast, and other places )like WGV off I-95 in St Aug.) where houses were built on top of eachother and everyone is from somewhere else. That doesnt appeal to me at all. That's one of the reasons I like places like Winter Park.
Yes, living in Orlando is much different that visiting here. I think the driving is bad (the drivers), the congestion, the crime, the large number of sex offenders and attempted rapes/kidnappings is truly scary. Combine that with the constant heat and humidity, the large transient population, the very little sense of community, and the very arrogant/rude people here, it is a tough place to enjoy living in (in my opinion).

Ok , back to the original topic , there are many , many things I do not like about South Florida and Miami in particular , but smokin hot babes is not one of them ... you will see some gems on Lincoln Road , Aventura Mall , Brickell and Coral Gables on any given day .. I find the Colombian , Venezuelan and Argentine women especially beautiful with the latter having some blondes that look like Swedes !!!
Being a single young male in Miami is great ... which I am not and if my wife sees this topic she will kill me
