This is just business… they give you a Report #, to activate your insurance and case closed.
This is why the teens (usually neighbors) keep doing’ it. The police have just created this part time job for them. Then when you ask why the do not show to investigate the crime, the will tell you that the are dealing with murders and other crimes, off course committed by the same teens with too much time on the Driveway’s part-time.

Ha! THIRD WORLD at its best. My company truck was vandalized 2 days ago. Broken window, police didn't show. They gave me a case number over the phone. I found a construction glove on the floor, probably used for the crime, police told me it was useless for evidence. LOL THIRD WORLD.
Robert, with all your respect, let's go to the facts: I've been in several places up to the north, deep south, Tennessee, Louisiana, and at the same time, I migrated from the third world because I didn;t like where I was born and raised (raised by a first and second generation immigrants family)
Facts:
- cutting you off on traffic is third world.
- never using traffic turn signals is third world
- crossing with red lights in front of police is third world
- creating extra lanes inside a lane is third world
- using merge lanes to cut off traffic is thrid world
- opening fruit packages at the supermarket to try the food is third world
- inventing ghost jobs to get more money from the income taxes is third world
- coming here illegaly is third world
I could keep listing hundreds of attitutdes in this special city....but the critical thinking says that for every 20 Americans, probably 1 acts third world. For every 20 people here in Miami, 17 of them act third world. How to prove it, easy: look at the country Americans created, then look at the countries "others" created.
Again, I've been in the north, driving in northern cities, As soon as you get north of Orlando everybody is happy, friendly, everybody says good morning, everybody speak English and nobody gives you a bad look.

Kendall Lakes was a nice place in the 80's. Does anyone remember Fiesta Tacos in the old Kendall Lakes Mall? Best tacos around. The theater in the same mall and an ice cream store that had the best Italian Ice.

Maybe if Don Carter wouldn't have caved in to pressure to sell for a nice hefty profit, they wouldn't have sold the bowling alley. The tomato/strawberry field on the corner of SW 137 Ave and SW 120 Street? Same.
I also sense an anti-South American bias, which in the end comes down to personal prejuedice and little else. I'm Cuban-American, so no one can accuse me of being biased in favor of South Americans, but my experience with my neighbors of different nationalities, including South America, has been quite favorable. If you live in the Miami area, you must be open to dealing with people different than you, plain and simple.
I live in The Crossings, and it's an established neighborhood about 30 years old which I would easily stack up with any neighborhood in South Florida as far as cleanliness, attractive homes and tree-lined streets, top notch schools (something you won't find near downtown) without the pretense found in hoity-toity areas such as Pinecrest and Coral Gables.
Actually, the recent string of shopping centers being built in West Kendall will dramatically improve the diversity of shopping and dining, something long overdue for this area.
Advice from a life-long Miami resident regarding Kendall? Leave any preconceived notions and/or prejudices behind. It's a mixed area which is mostly pan-Hispanic, with a significant long time "Anglo" population. It's crowded and there's traffic (surprise, surprise it's South Florida, people), but the crime is mostly low. Just like any other area, the quality of individual neighborhoods can vary, but I find that other than The Crossings, neighborhoods such as Sabal Chase, DevonAire, Kendale Lakes and The Hammocks are clean and most definitely liveable.

I am a cuban american planning to move to West Kendall prior to graduating from UM and in my opinion, by what i've heard about west Kendall, theres no way in heaven at least there that its bad. I believe they are referring to people who live out east in bad areas.

You had new arcade games coming out like space invaders, defernder, etc. you had to had the kangaroos skates, which were the best. Skating to queen, another one bites the dust with the music so loud it just felt amazing. I remember there was a place called boys town were there were BMX races. I road my bike to school and had the best time. On the way the streets with trees in the midle, you could jump their roots and hills with the bike. Riverboat came later on, wwith new arcades games like donky kong or Qbert. You could reserve the donky kong machine by placing tokens on the upper right corner of the machine, and have 6 tokes thie, which ment you were going to play 6 times, special rules. What good memories of my child hood. If we could turn back time!!!!

What exactly are you trying to prove with this comment? I doubt you made it with "just saying" in mind.

Am I the only hispanic in this forum that doesn't get bother by that? I actually think many latinos should not be in the white category, like me who has white/Amerindian/black heritage... and I look white, but I could care less.
