Did I say I was bothered? Did I sound bothered? I do, however, believe in accuracy and the term "hispanic" is just NOT a race.

Anyways... I do agree with some of the things said here. Kendall is a badly planned city when it comes to traffic, just like horrible Doral. What I don't get is what happened to Town and Country. I guess once Broward got bigger they needed a more central place and the bowling alleys and clubs were moved to more central places like Doral, Pembroke Pines and Hollywood.
And the sprawl? That's life. It's called overpopulation and it's everywhere.

The census gives one ample opportunity to mark white, black and Amerindian under the "race" option in addition to "Hispanic/Latino" under the "ethnicity" option. The only Latinos who "are in the white category" are those who self-identify as such.

But most Latinos are not exclusively white/black/Ameridian. Marking Black and Amerindian would be absurd.
I did grow up in the third world but my standard of living is better than many Americans who have never visited the third world. I have been in places in this country that make Kendall look like Beverly Hills.

I don't think you understood me. You can mark white, black, Amerindian, or any combination of some or all. There's no need to just mark one and the census actually encourages mixed-race people (including MANY "Latinos") to mark more than just one box.

Much of Kendall is far nicer than average middle-class places in this country, and this is coming from a location snob like me!

Yeah and people get counted twice.
In the end, what people care is how many hispanics live in an area, the "speak Spanish" factor not their skin color. They just forgot to put the word "ethnicity" in the City Data page. BIG DEAL

'Average' is too broad of a term to paint over most middle class areas across the entire country. I think Kendall is far more expensive, and maybe even far more overpriced than most middle class areas around the country (for sure).
I think that two more huge drawbacks to Kendall are its gridlock traffic most of the day (poor planning) as well as the ever-encroaching Refugee, or "ref" influence, which is sometimes nauseating, especially on hot days.
On the other hand, I think that Kendall has some beautiful areas along Galloway Rd. East of 874 - Where OJ lived!!! West of 874 is a glamorized Sweetwater with newer stucco and pinker terra cotta tiles.
