I just moved to CLermont Florida in august from Miami. My wife and i wanted to move here after so many Disney visits. My wife has wanted to live next to Disney since before we met and so we are here. I thought this was gonna be IT for us but as it turns out i frikkin hate it. I miss Miami and im dying to go back but my Wife is hooked on this place. In order to move the vote needs to be unanimous but even if we would put the house for sale it wouldnt make a difference because everything is for sale. This sucks i miss Miami

Give it a few more months. It can take up to a year to get used to a new place. Plus, you'll have to wait a year or two (or more) anyway to find a buyer in this market. By then, you might have already changed your mind...

I know how you feel. I moved to Tampa from Miami about eleven years ago and not a day goes by that I don't want to move back. If it wasn't for having a job that I love and that I know I will be able to keep I would be back down in Miami in a second. I hope your situation works out and who knows, maybe your wife will get tired of Clermont and you can move back home.

Just curious, how many times have you been to disney since you moved up there? Was it often enough to make moving up there worth it?

That happened to a friend of mine several years ago. They moved to Orlando & did not like it at all. I hear so many people say "I hate Miami" & always complaining, that it's nice to hear when people miss it. If Miami would have more jobs & better pay I am sure lots of people from other areas would move here in a heartbeat. I have relatives in Chicago that want to move here but they can't because of the job situation. There is nothing like Miami! I would rather be in the warm weather than in the deep snow or in freezing weather. Don't get me wrong, I love snow & love to wear my coats but only on vacation not to have to drive, go to work everyday etc. We are very lucky to live here but most of the people here don't realize that.

I think most people in Miami realize it. People who are happy rarely have a need to visit forums like this one and so we never hear from them.
