What hotel in Miami?
I am trying to do all of the "Florida things" I can before I move. I'd like to spend a night in Miami on my way to the Keys this spring. What is a decent, clean, safe, hotel that I can get the Miami experience at, for say $250/night?

I'm biased, but I think staying in South Beach would be the most fun. Check out the Web sites, like hotels.com and others, and see what deals there are. Prices change all the time. I don't think you'll have any trouble finding something nice for $250/night.
Those sites also have customer comments and ratings.

Try the National Hotel. It's VERY cool, older hotel near th heart of SoBe and you should be able to get in for that price (try Orbtiz or Expedia for the best rates).bit musty. But it IS clean and a fun experience.
