I know people living all over and since I have been to a variety of areas in Miami-Dade (admittedly, not to the Opa Locka/Carol City/Miami Gardens area or anywhere in NE Miami Dade away from the beaches except for North Miami Beach/Aventura) while visiting dozens of times between 2003 and now, I have observed:
1) Some areas have changed in demographics but have not changed in aesthetics (appear that little besides the demographics have changed)
Examples: Kendall (west), The Hammocks, Kendale Lakes
2) Some areas have changed in demographics and also appear a little more run-down
Examples: North Miami Beach, Sweetwater, Shenandoah, Flagler St. area of close-in Miami
3) Some areas have changed in demographics and appear to be NICER now
Examples: Brickell, Miami Beach, Downtown, Upper East Side
4) Some areas have not changed in demographics and have not changed in aesthetics (remain just as nice as they ever were)
Examples: Pinecrest, Kendall (east/central), South Miami, Coconut Grove
It's not like I travel by helicopter exclusively between Brickell Key, Islamorada, Pinecrest, and Fisher Island... And although I can excuse your incorrect assumption that I only spent time growing up/visiting wealthy areas that were only rich, white Cuban and Anglo, I cannot excuse your comment that I have a selective memory and deleted images of everything negative in Miami. There are many things that I do not like about Miami and many things that I do like about it, and I remember how things used to be even years ago when I was a lot younger. Don't tell me that the only way for me to actually believe what I write is to psychologically convince myself of "lies" (you have called my "propaganda" a big "lie" in another thread) and to force myself to forget the negative.
If you continue with your ad hominen attacks and/or misrepresentation of my ideas, you will be reported to the moderators. By a conservative measure, this is strike two for you.

I applaud you for being an intense social observer. Your accounts of Miami are genuine, but in the fervor of visiting friends back in Miami after long periods of being away, you are excluded from " daily grind" observations, ie repetitive observations. Those are the most important observations when it comes to bridging the gap between year 2000 statistics and what actually exists. Many of the darker races in Miami never report to the gov't (for obvious reasons, like immigration status) and therefore never get tabulated in the census. The 2000 census "race/ethnicity stencil" is utterly lost when used in Miami.
By the way, hominen is not a word ( hominen definition | Dictionary.com)
AND.................
"Misrepresentation of ideas" is not a violation of TOS. I don't do it anyways.

In Miami-Dade Co., white people ARE in the minority, I believe, 20% of the population now.

Why should we? Why should we be "forced" out of the only tropical part of the mainland United States?
Why can't we just toughen up our immigration laws (namely ending the "wet foot, dry foot" joke of a policy?
I want to get the hell out of Miami as much as the next person, but I can't right now. I am basically stuck here due to family obligations, so it's not as easy as just upping sticks and getting the hell out of dodge.

What Americans? The Irish, the england, the italians, the germans, the mexican, the cubans, the nicaraguan, what americans? Gosh!, you will fit soo much in the 1917 when all german descendants above the age of fourteen years old were beaten, stone, flogged, harrased, jailed and so on. Just because they were german descendants, and were the second ethnic group after the british descendants. And they were white non-hispanics .
