It's not a luxury city but blue collar. It attracted lots of Cubans that wanted a cheap place to live in that was safe for the family - and that is what it has been. Although recently prices have kept steady even during the recession. It's 20 minutes away from South Beach, driving, so if you really want to have fun then you can drive to the beach in a very short time. It's also next to Miami Lakes; in a few minutes driving you can be in Main Street or in several more great restaurants, movies, parks. Hialeah has always been misunderstood and used as an escape-goat.

Best description ever of what is Hialeah

I agree. Also in reference to the scapegoat comment, it's true just like Biscayne blvd is synonymous with crackheads and hookers. Hialeah isn't as bad in reality as its reputation leads u to believe, but personally i would prefer to live under a bridge in Miami Beach than in a 5 bedroom home in Hialeah

So, are you, then, a crackhead or a hooker?

Im surprised they didnt have Fort Worth, TX...By far the most boringest ever. Atleast Hialeah has some cutey guys here and there.

Places in North Florida could also pass as the most mudane places on earth. Im surprised they put Hialeah, being close enought to civilization (Miami). Otherwise, Hialeah is a dumpster. I remember looking at a 'studio' for $350 a month. Was actually a windowless cavity attached to the back of a convenience store.

I ran out screaming for my life thinking I'd be killed!

Hell-a-leah is not a good place, sorry. It has nothing to do with being working class...it's that most of the people there are pure human trash of the worst possible kind. People who will drive while drunk, have screaming matches in public, throw parties for no reason and are rude and generally obnoxious.

Thats sound to me like another small town in the middle of South Carolina, but with the demographic exception of course. By the way, I know you like to discuss about Cuban issues, so, Are you going to Cuba?

I don't see how Hialeah is any more boring than any other any other city (Not major cities of course).
They have parks, Mom and pop shops, stores with good deals. There are so many other cities in America that could replace Hialeah on that list.
