Default Miami Holiday

Hi All

I live in London but am hoping to visit Miami for a holiday some time this year.

As a lone, single female are there any area's I should avoid?

Is there a good, central area that will allow me access to a town and beaches either on foot or via public transport?

I'm in my mid 30's and am looking for a quiet, relaxing time as opposed to clubbing all night and sleeping all day!

Cheers!

D

Stay in South Beach. It's not all about clubs. You'll be next to the beach and close to a plethora of eating, shopping, and cultural possibilities. All within walking distance. Believe it or not, you can relax and have a great time in SoBe without ever setting foot in a club.

Agree 100% (I live in South Beach).

Look for hotel deals on-line at the travel sites. Sometimes there are especially good deals. Also, try a package deal on line (combine hotel and/or car and/or flight) and see what you get. The sooner you start your search, the better.

Chances are you won't have to worry too much about areas to avoid because they are kind of out of the way to get to anyways. South Beach would be nice to see, check out Coconut Grove too and maybe get a dinner in Mary Brickell. There's a lot to do and see.
