The company that manage my building decide the to change address of where to send the payments for the condo fees and account numbers for each homeowner over the Christmas holiday. I left on December 17th and came back January 3rd and thats when i found the letter notifying the changes and I had schedule my payment to go out on the 2nd on January. I feel i was not given enough notice for these changes and my payment went to the old address with the old account so now the company is charging me late fee because by the time the payment was rerouted to the new address it was overdue. What i'd like t know is if there are regulations for such changes, or where to look for them.

I can't believe that even with the explanation that you were not in town that they still are charging you - they can see from the re-routing that it was received before the due date, even if it were sent to the wrong address, which they had to know was going to happen.

Oh how I love condo associations and management companies...... They drive me insane. These guys are being very unreasonable.

HOWEVER...... I Don't know about specific regulations, but you can file a complaint to the Florida Division of Condominiums in Tallahassee.
