Default Taxi fare query

Hello to all

Is the Taxi fare from Miami International Airport to Miami Beach ( Beach Place Hotel to be precise ) is a 'flat' fare ?? If yes, does anyone has an idea about how much it is ?

Thanks in advance

If I were you I'd take the metrorail to downtown and then take a taxi from there. It'll save you a good deal of money.

Thanks for the suggestion , but after spending an entire day in the Economy Section of an aircraft (from India to JFK and then to MIA) , I really dont think it will be possible for me to lug 2 suitcases to the Metrorail and then catch a taxi from Downtown. Thats why I am going for a taxi, no matter what the fare is.

Anyone else Please ? I had heard once that there is some flat fare but there were no other details posted.

Thanks in advance

Retrieve your luggage and exit the airport doors.
You will find several airport concierges behind their desks and a small line (maybe)
They will be your best source of info.
If there is a flat fee, you will be told exactly how much to pay.
If not, they will give you an approximation of how much to expect
The airport is approx 15 miles from your destination.
Tell your taxi driver that it is a 15 mile journey and approx 30 minutes and he will tell you how much $ per mile.
Enjoy your visit to Miami

Check MIA's website, there is a flat rate between the airport and the beach, around $32.
