Cool The TRUTH about Miami.....

Gosh.... I was the last one to post and then the thread got closed!! I hope it wasn't anything I said; I meant my post to be respectful and gave my honest description of Miami and what I discovered when I relocated 3k miles away

I don't hate Miami! I lived there over 30 years and have wondeful memories of what it was like, my sailing years, the friends made, the nice winter weather, etc!

Everyone has their own version of the TRUTH about a location and if it's presented with respect...... it should be accepted

Here are the rules that must be followed:

Our opinions on a location or issue are just that, opinions. Highly subjective. Personal preferences. Quirks, even. Leave wiggle room for dialogue, others may not see things the same as you, or been there as long as you, and any one of us can be wrong. Pouncing on someone you disagree with runs contrary to the spirit of this board and its members. We are here to help each other.

Be civil, no personal attacks, flaming, or insults. We may attack ideas (politely) but we do not attack the speaker of the idea. Be careful with your words, there is a point where being direct crosses a line into blunt, in-your-face hostility. Please, report bad posts instead of engaging in flame wars on the boards. Insulting another member or a moderator will not be tolerated anywhere on this website.

The Moderators and Administrators have final say in what is or is not appropriate.

No need to reply, if the rules are not followed the post gets deleted or the thread closed.

Keep the languague clean and enjoy the thread.

Thank you.

The truth about Miami is that there are trade-offs whereever you live in this country as there is no big city that is perfect or is close to perfect, this is a beautiful city with palm trees, beautiful waters, modern appearance and a popular international destination.Sure it has its problems but some people will find it is a great place to visit rather than living here and visa versa,so one should do their homework before coming here.
