Condo Associations rights to enter????
Long story short I am renting a condo from someone who lives out of state, pretty typical for Miami Beach. The owner was trying to get ahold of me one day and I was not available to speak with them when they called. The next thing I know my door is unlocked, opened and there is a staff member for the condo association telling me the owner called and told them to come in and that I have to go speak to the condo manager. All of this because I was unavailable when the phone rang. do they have the right to come in and does the owner have the right to send them in? I did sign a lease for this property also. Thanks!!

Read your lease contract and see if this allowed. If this is not, contact the owner/Property Manager and state your concern. This should be an easy fix and you should not have further situation like the one that you mentioned.

I agree- go over your lease contract. Most of the time they can only enter if they have reasonable legal or emergency reasons. Fire- loud noise- smoke- flooding- etc. Check out your contract very close and make sure it doesnt give "any association or management member" access to your apartment. I personally have seen the effects of that little clause.

Is that something that nice, classy buildings have built into their association clauses, or is it primarily used by *****-lower value condo buildings? Or do both nice and *****buildings like to invade people's privacy?

Let's clear your comments. Is up to the individual leasing/renting to read and understand what is he/she accepting on the contract. The individual either agree or move to another place that meets or exceeds his/her needs.
Now, please avoid the negative inputs and think before you post. Negative inputs generate negative outputs.
Thank you,
