Gotcha. So what you are really asking is: where would you steer people away from, based primarily on safety and secondarily by qulaity of life stuff.

I'll see what my noodel conjures up when I have a little more time.

DR

Twiggers: I would be glad to help but this is going to be HOURS of work. I'll try to give you some boundaries little-by-little. I won't be around today or for most of tomorrow, so I'll try to give you some Kendall boundaries tomorrow night.

The areas I know best are south of SR836 and north of SW 152nd Street and a couple areas outside of those boundaries like Miami Beach and Doral. To be honest with you I cannot give exact block-to-block "good/ok/bad" boundaries in most of deep south and northern Miami-Dade. I can, however, approximate, like I did for the list I gave you.

Thanks Dr! And yes, your summation is correct ;-)

Crisp: No problem....I'm not in a HUGE rush to do this....piece by piece is fine because I know it'll take forever!

Kendall is a huge area, but here is my take on rating it. Keep in mind that to make this easy for you when you draw the map, I am breaking Kendall into mostly square segments. In general, Kendall is between US1 and SW 167 Ave, but its north and south boundaries vary a bit depending on how east or west you are. East of SR 874, the northern boundary is SR 878; between SR 874 and the Turnpike, the northern boundary is SW 72 St.; west of the Turnpike the northern boundary is SW 56 St. East of the Turnpike, Kendall's southern boundary is the canal north of SW 152 St.; west of the Turnpike, Kendall's southern boundary is approximately at SW 168 St.

The rating scale on which I believe we have agreed is:
5: Excellent
4: Nice/Above Average
3: So-so
2: Not very nice/Below Average
1: Bad area

Rating: 5
N: SR 878

I mapped Palmetto Bay as well, based on another website's boundaries. Hopefully they are correct!

I'm still looking for some help in the Coconut Grove, Gables, and S. Miami area. Anyone with knowledge?

1. From 1-5 what would you rate West Grove as?
2. From 1-5 what would you rate the area in S. Miami just west of the university?
3. Can someone provide me with Coral Gables boundaries SE of US 1?
4. Can someone provide me with boundaries and ratings for S. Miami?
5. Can someone double check my Coconut Grove area and advise accordingly regarding boundaries?

LOL, gotta love this board, blue collar and working class neighborhoods are BAD. That means I won't have you as a neighbor since I live in a RED neighborhood, which is GOOD!

Fisher Island - 5
Star Island - 5
Hisbiscus Island - 5
Palm Island - 5
See above - I have rated them.

Also, I just looked at your "updated" map and none of the updates actually appeared - it was still the old Coconut Grove/South Miami map.
