OK -- I'll stick my comments to the Gables as I know that area as an outsider moving in and a long term resident (if that makes any sense).
The Gables has 4 "vibes" to me:
> VERY well heeled and rich. The homes around the golf courses, along the bay or down Old Cutler (some MANY million$ each)
> More haughty upper-middle class. Much of the Gables falls into this category. Think homes between $600-1.4. Hired housekeepers sweeping outside very day, Cadillac SUVs in the driveway...
> More normal middle/upper middle class. Many of the longtime residents fall into this category, I believe I do to. Homes between $300-800k
> More middle/working class -- homes along the busy streets, extreme north Gables, etc.
I'm over-generalizing of course, but not by much. I think my life if living in a mansion on the Biltmore golf course would be VERY different than my life in a home 6 blocks away on Red or Bird Rds. Not sure how you would break down the rating, but just b/c you live in CG city limits doesn't mean your life is that different if you lived in West Miami (or a mansion in S Gables vs Pinecrest).

Twiggers has disappeared so I am going to have to take over the map... it will take me a while to draw all of the boundaries, and when I finish that I will begin to add new ones. I'll keep you all updated.
