Default Buying Condo in Hallandale/Homeowners Insurance

I was considering buying a condo in a highrise on the beach in Hallandale and was wondering how much I should expect to pay in Homeowners Insurance. I currently live in Atlanta and want to get away. I am a pharmacist that work for Walgreens, so finding a job will not be an issue. The condo I am considering is in a brand new building and it is listed at 299K. However if the HOA's at almost 700 a month, I can imagine how much the insurance will be, anyone has any ideals?

Building Insurance is usually included in the condo fees. It should cover fire, flood, hurricane, etc. You can buy an additional insurance to cover the inside and contents of your unit. It's cheap, usually between a few hundred and a thousand dollars per year. If you want more answers contact me

Keep in mind that property tax will be around 2% (~6K) per year, which adds another $500/month (grrrrrr !!!) Probably similar to Jersey though.
