We are not talking about trading, we are talking here about cruises and tourism.

FlyMIA said "MILLIONS and MILLIONS". Not BILLIONS. Don't distort.

You've got your share of Five Star Hotels, nice restaurants.
But I don't think that Americans will like the place.
Maybe in 20 years.
Eco tourism?
They hate backpackers, no place for backpackers.
Cuba is a safe place now, but there's a cop every 10 meters.
What will happen in a Democracy?
But if they solve of those problems, it would be a death blow to Miami.
But were are talking Sci-Fi here.
Cruise ships you say? To Havana?
Man, the city is beautiful, but ruined and not a European city anymore.
Well, I'm not talking about Overtown, but Americans will remember Overtown when they walk around Old Havana.
You would have to build a harbour somewhere else, around Marina Hemingway, to the west.

Ya know. The beginning of your post sounds NOTHING like one of your other posts in another thread which includes the vomitive overcooked food.

Maybe in 15 or 20 years after the Castros' regime crashes.

I said Millions, also I would not consider Americans tourist as they dont put much money into the actual economy like the British or Canadians do.
Miami is the gateway to Latin America and always will be. If Cuba became a destination for Americans it would only add another destination which Miami would be a gateway for. Cruise ships will NEVER leave from an international port for Caribbean cruises it just would not make sense. And MIA and FLL, the cargo sections of the ports and airports will only gain from the opening.

I don't think it would affect Miami's Tourism. Everybody wants to go to the US.
What would happen (and I really doubt it's gonna happen any time soon) is that tourism to Cuba would increase, mostly Cubans and some Americans. It would affect more the Bahamas and Puerto Rico.

Burgler
There are 350 million people in Europe.
I don't have the figures, but I bet that more Europeans visit the Caribbean than the US.
Yes, Spain is a Capitalistic country.
Tenth economic power (I don't know now, after the crisis)
Parliamentary Monarchy.
Member of NATO.
Member of EEC.
Commies here are not commies anymore, they are eco-socialists that protect flowers and drive Audis.
