Well said. A thread like this spirals out of control and brings out the worst in Americans (and specifically Floridians), sad to say.

Cuba Libre, DEMOCRAT, DEMOCRAT! LOL, The majority of Cubans that I know still voting REPUBLICAN. I cannot imagine a Cuban voting Democrat and falling again for absurd ideas like big goverment is good, welfare to everyone is a necessity, stronger federal goverment, higher taxes is good, less states rights, and blah blah blah. Im just waiting for 2012 to vote for the first time in my life, and I think my nickname reveals which candidate or party will have my vote.

Yes, a Cuban voting Democrat is like a Cuban voting for Castro, really.
Problem is that there are many "castroites" leaving the country.

I know a 28 year old, FIU student-Cuban guy who came here when he was 20 - and he voted for Obama. He just got his citizenship and exercized his right to vote. He thought McCain was am old fart and that Obama was cooler, younger, and more in touch with his pot smoking, Wii-playing sensibilities. I love the guy to death, I have known him since childhood, but he has grown too accustomed to American luxuries and handouts in his brief tenure on American soil. His mother calls him a hippie for voting for Obama. She voted for McCain.
What an irony; the Cubans, arguably the most successful block of political refugees in the last 50 years, vote almost solidly Republican, except for the spoiled ones who forgot what hard work entails.

You got it right right Cuba Libre, but hey, there is everything in the vineyard of the Lord. Im sure you wouldn't want to listen what I have heard sadly from some recent arrivals.

Cuba Libre
Many of the younger generations raised in Cuba are as stupid as any Venezuelan creepo living in Miami thanks to the way paved by Cubans. They are totally brainwashed by the Cuban media and propaganda.
That 28 year guy, that came 8 years ago, is just a perfect example.
But given the occasion, none of them would vote for Castro, just like Venezuelans do voting for Chavez. I mean, you have to be a real turd to vote for Chavez knowing what happened to Cuba.
I tell you one thing, when I see all those Latin Americans in Cuba, notwitstanding the race, behaving like idiots and screaming, with their Che berets and behaving like mongrels, all Cubans around them look like Nobility.
