Good Gyms in Miami area?
Hey guys, I moved down here about 7 months ago from New York and am wondering where the good gyms are? I live on normandy island, up around 71st on the beach, and there's not much around me. There are some small gyms, but they are more for weight loss and exercise classes and I'm more looking for a lot of machines where I could bulk up. Anyway, someone told me that the only place with a lot of machines is LA fitness, so I even decided I'd be willing to travel up to Miami Gardens to do it, but then I find out they charge a $150 sign up fee. Wtf is that? Is there any reasonable place to work out that has a lot of machines? -Dave

You must go to L.A. Fitness at Doral. That`s my gym. You will se the most beautiful women there. Univision (the tv Channel) is located very close and all the beautiful tv actresses go to that gym. (Gorgeous Venezuelans and Brazilians)

Go down to Alton and 17. There is a Crunch and a Golds in that area. Seems like you will be closer than going all the way to Miami Gardens.

LA Fitness in Coral Gables at Sunest Shoppes is clost to u. Women look good... I think better than Doral.

Ballys Total Fitness. I pay about $25 a month, but it took three years of $75/month to get the deal I have now. They have centers in North Miami Beach, Aventura, Coral Gables, etc. The one in Aventura is the nicest one I've seen in Miami-Dade, the one in Coral Gables was a complete dump. Sometimes it's a bit crowded, but I've always been able to do the machines I want with the splits I do.

Yeah, that's the one. There's another one not too far from that on Collins a few blocks south. It's bigger, but I assume it's not cheap so I didn't include that one. But you never know! Parking is free on Collins in North Beach after 6PM.
Ballys is good enough for me. When I strike it rich, I'll be a member at Equinox in South Beach. Simply exquisite!
