Hi,

Anybody has any knowledge about this new houses and the neighborhood?

How high is crime?

How are elementary schools?

How brutal a commute to Miami downtown would be?

I did my research but only data available is for Homestead (The old town) and yes ... it sounds horrible

Thank you in advance for your comments.

That new neighborhood should be fine even though it is near some less than desirable areas. A safer bet would be living east of the turnpike in Homestaed (SW 328th St), even though that area is a little questionably planned.

Homestead's schools are rated incredibly low and the commute to downtown would not be a nice one. If you are planning on working in downtown you might want to chose an area further north of Homestead as it's quite far south and pretty much far away from any area you'd want to be in.

the neighboorhood is only good due to the resident but there are numerous robberies and car thefts any crime you can think of happens in DR.Horton developed Mandarine Lakes Miami or Homestead,Naranja. Save your money find a better area. Check police records, reports etc.. Home Association dont even have good security.
