I'm looking for a house to buy in Miami Shores and Biscayne Park, but there are a lot of nice properties in El Portal. Can anyone tell me more about El Portal?

Nice small area, a village I think. Kind of close to some bad area but then again that's how most of northeast Miami is. By the way, it's a bird sanctuary if that means anything to you.
