Somerset Academy Charter Schools (Miami, South Miami: catholic schools, closing, education)

Does anyone have children at any of these schools in Miami?They are fairly new and a new Somerset school is being built in South Miami. Looking for some feedback. My daughter will be entering 1st grade in the Fall. She has been accepted to the new school however, I am please with the school she is at now but, there has been many changes with the administration and some of the staff is not happy with the changes. Looking for some help.

I have friends whose children are in somerset, they are very happy with the school. It is a charter school and because of this the numbers of student per teacher are lower . You experience a private school atmosphere in a public school system. I believe they are also highly rated. google them for more info. I hope this helps.

This is a charter school. It is publically funded and all students are excepted because of this. They are also taking over many of the catholic schools that are closing as of June 5. Unfortunately, they lack honesty. I am from one of the schools they will be taking over next school year. All of the current teachers were given 2 interviews. They told interested parents that all teachers were given the option to stay. This made the prospective parents very happy and comfortable. It just wasn't true. They didn't offer any of the current teachers jobs. Shame on them.

Would you have the info to contact the new school. I have a little girl and would like to inquire about Somerset at South Miami.. As a mother I am very concern about giving her the best education Thank for your help
