Why don't you do yourself and all of us a favor and move to North Dakota or somewhere were you will hear no Spanish ... because it is a fact of life in just about all of the fifty states with a few exceptions .. even a "paradise" like Georgia or North Carolina have Hispanic populations and yes eeeek , even Puerto Ricans who are legal US Citizens , who pay taxes and die serving our country but cannot vote in our presidential elections . I have no qualms about hearing some Spanish who cares as long as people are nice and they are not talking about me which in most cases I am sure they are not ... again they can speak all the Spanish they want as long as they can communicate in English when required .. who cares .. this is a free country last I checked .

Orlando has the largest PR population other than NYC, and the ones from NYC are moving here daily. You dont live here anyway. End of discussion.

I've said over and over again, I dont care what color you are, it's how you treat one another. And what I have observed in Orlando, is that there is a certain group of people here that doent treat others with respect, whether it be on the roads, in the store, etc... I have encountered more idiots on the roads that I can even remember, and usually, there is a common theme. Take it as you wish.
My post you jumped all over was simply a response to another poster who said that Orlando and Tampa (and Jax) are southern. I just dont find that so, but like I said, unless you are in the outskirts. I find that Tampa and Orlando has much more of a Midwestern/NJ/Latin American feel to it.

Spanish doesn't stand out so much or seem so foreign when you speak it in your own family... But then again, I haven't been to Orlando in years.
I do know that all the Hispanics in Florida outside of Miami are quite industrious. Mostly tradesmen, capenters, truck drivers; most are self employed 'handy andy's' who will tar your driveway or put new terra cotta shingles on your roof. That is a lot better than the 'medical fraud' and 'slip and fall artist' Hispanics that are so prevalent in Miami.
To the OP- I'll give Orlando +1 on this...

The fact that you say Tampa feels Latin American , tells me that you do not know what you are talking about .... other than some working class Mexicans Tampa is all about transplants from New York , The Mid West , African Americans and good ole boys ... I do hope you get your wish and move from Florida .... soon !!!

I have no idea what your first sentence means ... no one is implying there are no Hispanics ( Puerto Ricans ) in Orlando ... it is just not anywhere as Hispanic as Miami or as the Mad Doctor assures and it is a city that has its charms ... I have no idea what you mean by industrious Hispanics , yes there are hardworking honest Hispanics ( I know many ) how is that relevant to the post ?
