You are so right sunnyhelena - leaving a pet or a baby in the car during our summer months is just unthinkable.

The show and others like it are excellent even though they are difficult to watch at times.

How often is this show on? I caught it last Friday and it's interesting, yet sad, to watch. I still like to watch it though. Anyone got a schedule?

One time we were on our boat and we saw a dog stranded at beer can island. (this was maybe 3 years ago) We called the animal police and it took me 2 days to get someone to go out there.

I called back to see what happened and they said that they could not find a dog there.

I was not to happy about all that.

On Animal Planet every week- around 8PM in S Florida.

Where is beer can island? I cant stand hearing about animal abuse. Animals need our protection, they have no voice. Especially in S Florida- anyone seeing dogs left out in the heat- please report it/help. One of my dogs was a rescue- a neighbor left him roped to a tree in the hot backyard. That is no way for a dog to live in Florida! Please PM me if you know of any stories/dogs needing help

city enforcement doesnt enforce the laws on people. you actually think they care about animals. there are strays and bloated dead dogs all over the place. ive seen people aim with ford f350s at turtles crossing the road and hit them. people have no appreciation for animals here.

saw the show just the other day. some woman keeping a ton of dogs and cats in her house and sleeping on a cot.
its a good show and it at least gives a hint of a glimpse into the lack of value the 3rd worlders down here place on dogs, cats, animal life in general.
there was a new yorker i knew down here at my last job who was constantly trying to pawn off stray dogs on his friends up in new york. theres an infinite supply down here, extremely few no-kill shelters and no county neutering/spaying as far as i know.
seeing massively bloated dogs, cats, racoons on the side of the road is pretty typical and doesnt faze me anymore. i only feel bad for ducks or turtles now or the rare gator. ive seen people aim for turtles crossing the road.

Watched it last night, so sad that on one hand we live amongst people who are horible to animals. But on the other hand, at least there are still some good people to help these animals in their hour of need.

Thanks everyone- for watching- I have no agenda- just to help animals- alot of times people dont realize the heat- like if you leave your dog in the car for a few minutes- at least this show gives information- thanks!
