Best place to buy an engagement ring
OK, so I'm in Miami-Kendall area and I want to know where is the best place to buy a really nice white gold engagement ring for someone on a budget? I don't know anything about shopping for one and was wondering what I should know. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

From a large reputable seller on Ebay? Costco?
Sorry don't know anything about diamonds either, I don't like them myself.

Go to Google. Go to several "diamonds" sites.
Learn about the 4 C's.
Figure out cheapest, middle of the road, and way too much.
Then go to the Seybold building downtown and actually see what the 4 Cs turn into depending on price. You might have a big, round stone but with terrible clarity. Or you might have a tiny emerald cut stone with no carbon and it will cost a fortune.
Then after you're thoroughly confused, take a break. Do not shop in any of the other downtown jewelry stores.
Go to Costco if you are a member or know someone who is. They have AWESOME rings for not all that much.
I think you can easily get ripped off in a department store or at the Seybold building unless you go with someone who knows what's what and who's who.
No matter where you end up buying and regardless of what paperwork they give you, get a formal appraisal from a reputable appraiser.
Personally, I'd rather have a small GOOD, GOOD quality diamond than a huge rock that's worthless.

Yes, Im a total diamond woman. You need to do your research on the 4C's of diamonds. You can get good deals at Sams Club, BJs or Costco for not too much money and decent diamonds.

Downtown Miami has a diamond district you can try there. They have many shops to look at. Another place, I can't think of the name, I haven't been in a while but I think they sell rings. Its in the same shopping center as BJs on Sunset Drive and 117ave in Kendall. Its located in the corner of the shopping center. Like the others have said do some research on the 4cs. Cut what cut does she want? The round cut is classic and has the most sparkle always.

Galante Jewelry
1 Ne 1st St, Miami, FL 33132
They have a good selection of jewelry (rings)
and very good prices. They also provide very good service.
You should give them a call and tell them the kind of ring you had in mind

from past experience... EDUCATE yourself before going into a store... Jewelers can smell when you have no clue what you are doing and will do the cha-cha-cha on your head... they are worse than used car salesmen..
