Here's a good read on Cubans in the U.S. and the demographics. We generally do much better than most hispanics and are the closest to the demographics of non-hispanic whites.

I totally disagree, if you live in the poorest crime ridden areas of course you are not going to enjoy living here, but if you live in any other city in the worst area you probably wouldn't be happy there either. I know people that have lived in Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Pinecrest that didn't like South Florida and have left or have their homes up for sale right now. These are some of the best areas in Miami-Dade and still my friends are leaving or have left, because of the usually things we complain about on these threads. Hell my sister just moved this week finally.

I agree Miami is full of rude people. It's maddening trying to get decent customer service. Contrast with other places I have lived (Birmingham, Raleigh, Richmond...) and there is a noticeable difference in people's attitudes towards each other.
