shooting on macauther causeway
did anyone here about it yet? car jacking and everything. must be the rising unemployment, we are now at 9.4%. miami dade with florida at 10.2%

No it's not the economy. It sounds more like the guy had impaired judgement(probably drugs) otherwise he would have not been driving wesbound on the eastbound lane. Besides if you are gonna still a car, you are not gonna steal a taxi, especially in Miami beach where you have plenty of choices.

That's just a beginning of major crime hurricane which soon hits Miami VERY HARD. Remember the 80-ies. I think with the collapsed real-estate market,sagging economy,overcorrupt local officials ,thousands of unemployed hot-blooded latinos and neverending drug problem Miami will go through a huge wave of rising crime in the nearest prospective. Nuff said.

I agree with Mr. doomsayer here (sorry Mr. Testarockett).
I don't think it's ever going to be like the 80's, but I definitely think the rising unemployment is going to make things get worse.
