Its weird that a small street corner where there is wrongdoings can make the whole area seem corrupt. Its like that saying goes,"It takes just a few rotten apples to spoil the whole barrel".

Agreed, I wonder what is going on there, must be drug related. I have driven through that area before and I have never seen anything unusual, I've seen many worse places in South Florida. I'll guess I'll think it twice before going there in the future.

That whole barrel is bad it just happen to be the worst blocks in the area.

Do you close your eyes when you drive through Overtown?

I don't drive there on a regular basis, but the times I have (at nighttime) I have never seen anything unusual. Of course that's my personal experience. I guess my comment was more like a "you never know". I have driven through many bad neighborhoods in S. Florida (Liberty City, Little Haiti, Pompano Beach, West Hollywood, Goulds, Naranja) and the only part I have seen crime in action was the first time I went to Pembroke Pines out of all the places.

I looked on google maps. well it is In overtown's zip code but I'd consider it Little havana because it's so close to the orange bowl. I always thought the worst part of overtown was near dorsey park because it looks the worst..

I thought the worst part of overtown was the NE corner of the 395/95 Interchange. Most of the apartment complexes there are abandoned... It is like a scene from Sarajevo during the mid-90's - completely void of people.
