Streamline Moderne (specially where you don't expect it).

Sailing _to_ somewhere (instead of just around the buoys).

An espresso every two blocks (that doesn't cost 4 bucks).

Venetian Pool (In the summer, just like a sauna, except the opposite).

Sidewalks (some towns are just impossible to walk in).

Warm water (ever put a toe in the Pacific?).

The Seaquarium (Totally mid-century retro, plus dolphins).

I had to do something seemed like the Miami forum was being flushed down the toilet....it may not be paradise, but there are some good things down here worth mentioning!

Bill Baggs State Park, Uleta State Park, the Everglades in the winter (less mosquitos), delicious shakes, pies, breads at Knaus Berry Farm, and I love the weather. Love a delicious colada, and a guava & cheese pastry, Argentine empanadas.....yum, ok, so I have food on my mind. And I don't much care for a Tropical Storm or Hurricane, but I love the warm weather and the humidity, and I also like it when we get some cool weather, too. My parents live here and I enjoy being closeby to them as well.

Thumbs up fun for the kiddies

I've only lived here 21 years..but I know a thing or two about the area.

We took our daughter to the Young at Art Childrens Musuem off SR 84 & Hiatus last weekend. It was a lot of fun. If you have little ones, it's worth checking out

dude air in south florida is wonderfully clean compared to LA. everything blows straight off the peninsula into the ocean.
you only get some haze or smoke from fires in the winter.
