Good places for live-work rentals in Miami or Miami Beach
Does anyone have any suggestions for good live-work spaces for rent somewhere downtown/midtown-ish or even Miami beach/North Beach?
I'm planning moving in a few months and need somewhere not too expensive ($1500-2000/month) offering some sort of livable space combined with something I can use for a design studio for 2-5 employees for a year or so. I want to take my time setting up a real office and a real home and thought it might be nice just to find somewhere reasonable to crash while I get everything set up. I'd love to find some sort of loft space. and don't really at all about having a doorman, etc...
Also, does anyone know what restrictions exist on mixed-use? I'm in Phila now and they allow up to three assistants/employees so long as you don't have client traffic. Is this perhaps the case in Miamia, and thus few live-work advertisements?
It doesn't seem like there is all that much in the way of live/work advertised though. Any thoughts would be really appreciated!
